About the Role

Our goal is to be involved in every incident management tooling evaluation whether they are looking or we spark their curiosity. You’ll play a critical role here.

Primary Goals — Brand and Community

• North star metric — number of qualified developers that book demos (measured by “how did you hear about us” and trials)
• Develop regularly scheduled of engaging content per week (e.g. blog, videos, podcast, webinar, interview, newsletter, guides, case studies, etc.), ideally erse and unique (today we post fairly non-engaging vanilla blogs), you’ll own a metrics driven approach here and balance between volume and quality
• Position Rootly as a thought leader in the SRE/DevOps community both virtual (e.g. Slack communities) and in-person (e.g. meetups). We want to lead not just participate and be everywhere incident management is mentioned
• Develop partnerships and collaborations with adjacent tooling, companies, DevRel, and influencers (e.g. PagerDuty, Gremlin, ServiceNow, Slack etc.)
• Submit incident management/reliability related CFP at key conferences both virtual and in-person (e.g. SREcon) and identify key ones we should be at
• Own all social across Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, and grow our following. Reposting across all communities e.g. SREWeekly, Monitoring Weekly, etc.

You will help us to:

What will you be doing on a day-to-day basis to help us solve the challenge above?

Live Support:

* Proactively identify customers who aren’t maximizing their opportunity with LiveFlow and reach out to create an action plan to help them achieve success

Content Strategy & Execution:

* Write product guides to help customers resolve issues by themselves

Onboarding & Activation:

* Identify problems in our onboarding flow, and inform solutions to our product & engineering team

About the role

Anakin is building a fully automated pricing engine for large eCommerce companies such as Flipkart, Walmart, and Uber. We do that by collecting data and generating actionable insights. Our pricing engine automatically changes the prices of hundreds of millions of products across 15+ countries in real-time.

Checking quality is one of the most important tasks at Anakin. Our clients are pricing their products based on our data, and minor errors on our end can lead to our client's losses of millions of dollars. You would work with multiple tools and with people across various departments to ensure the accuracy of the data being crawled. You would setup manual and automated processes and make sure they run to ensure the higest possible data quality.

You are the engineer other engineers can count on. You embrace every problem with enthusiasm. You remove hurdles, are a self-starter, team player. You have the hunger to venture into unknown areas and make the system work.

Experience in large companies is not required to be successful here - rather we look for smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving problems and want to make an impact on our inspiring mission. You will have full ownership of challenging problems, working with a team of enthusiastic engineers designing solutions that propel Anakin toward our goals at a rapid pace. Mission success at Anakin depends on the software you produce.

Responsibilities:

• Understand customer web scraping and data requirements; translate these into test approaches that include exploratory manual/visual testing and any additional automated tests deemed appropriate
• Take ownership of the end-to-end QA process in newly-started projects
• Draw conclusions about data quality by producing basic descriptive statistics, summaries, and visualisations
• Proactively suggest and take ownership of improvements to QA processes and methodologies by employing other technologies and tools, including but not limited to: browser add-ons, Excel add-ons, UI-based test automation tools etc.
• Ensure that project requirements are testable; work with project managers and/or clients to clarify ambiguities before QA begins
• Drive innovation and advanced validation and analytics techniques to ensure data quality for Anakin's customers
• Optimize data quality codebases and systems to monitor the Anakin family of app crawlers
• Configure and optimize the automated and manual testing and deployment systems used to check the quality of billions of data points of over 1000+ crawlers across the company
• Analyze data and bugs that require in-depth investigations
• Interface directly with external customers including managing relationships and steering requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a backend or a full-stack software engineer
• Web scraping experience with Python or Node.js
• 2+ years of experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
• Should have managed a team of software engineers
• Should be paranoid about data quality

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Deep experience with network debugging across all OSI layers (Wireshark)
• Knowledge of networks or/and cybersecurity
• Broad understanding of the landscape of software engineering design patterns and principles
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a highly stressful environment during removing bugs in run-time within minutes
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal

The Airbyte UI team owns Airbyte’s web frontend, which is the main interface used to configure and inspect your ETL pipelines and data integration happening via Airbyte.

About the Role

You will quickly become a senior leader on a small and quickly growing team, and your role will expand as quickly as the company is (fast). MISSION

You’ll be responsible for the products that Gordian displays to more than one million customers every day and have a high degree of freedom in crafting the strategy behind what products we offer and develop.

Senior Product Managers interface with current and potential customers to understand the areas for expanding and improving our products.
