Overview

Reporting to the Director of Data Management, the Data Manager will lead activities related to the design, documentation, testing, implementation, and cleaning of clinical data for assigned studies.

Objectives

• Leads and coordinates the data management activities of internal teams and vendors, including the design and implementation of clinical databases and other data collection systems, in coordination with cross-functional team members, as applicable.
• Leads development of case report form standards for oncology studies.
• Assists with identifying and reporting clinical study metrics: including visit/page status, query metrics and data entry backlog, and data outliers and trends, in a consistent manner.
• Oversees DM related vendor activities for assigned projects, ensuring proper quality oversight and delivery within budget.
• Develops and/or reviews study documentation including data management plans, eCRF completion guidelines, coding guidelines, data transfer plans, etc.
• Provides review and input during protocol development, ensuring consistency with schedule of events and protocol text, and clarifying ambiguous or unclear information.
• May review, and propose a strategy to resolve, data issues.
• May be responsible for projects that have been outsourced to contract research organizations, as well as internal projects.
• Reviews and provides input for vendor agreements and facilitates testing prior to first production transfer.
• Escalates issues to mitigate out of scope work or delays in timelines.
• Ensures activities related to medical coding, and reconciliation (e.g., SAE/AESI, lab, imaging, etc.) on assigned studies are conducted, reviewed and approved per study requirements.
• Supports other clinical development functional areas, as applicable.

Accountabilities

• Manages vendor relationships with professionalism and transparency
• Develops maintains, or reviews and approves, the study specific Data Management Project Plan, eCRF Completion Guidelines, Data Transfer Plan, Coding Guidelines, and documents deviations from the Plans with proper remediation and follow-up
• Primary study contact for day-to-day data management activities and is responsible for/oversees all data management deliverables and risk escalation for assigned projects.
• Primary contact for communication, escalation and discussion of topics related to data management timelines and deliverables; request for out-of-scope tasks; and technical or procedural issues. Escalates issues in timely manner and as appropriate to the Director of Data Management.
• Assists with planning and implementing data management timelines and deliverables; responsible for, or ensures DM CRO is, providing database and data management activity status reports, and contributes to the overall project planning, progress tracking and reporting.
• Assists with the generation of project Change Order Amendments and is responsible for ensuring tasks are completed within budget, or identifying a risk to the budget, as it relates to the Data Management function.
• Participate in project kick-off meeting, investigators meeting, and regular project management team meetings.
• Provide support for vendor audits and regulatory inspections. With support, follows up on findings and collaborates for any required remediation.
• Manages the database design process. Oversees EDC User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and/or performs QC related to critical CRFs and variables.
• Manages the process of post-production database changes due to protocol amendments, identified issues or other study needs.
• Reviews key EDC data, data issues and queries, as applicable. May assist site personnel with resolving queries, if needed.
• Oversees and/or performs AE/Serious Adverse Event reconciliation and other reconciliation with 3rd party vendors.
• May assist in resolving medical coding issues related to inaccurate or inconsistent coding of terms. .
• Manages/oversees database soft-lock and hard lock activities.
• Ensure study TMF is inspection ready for assigned studies

Requirements

• BA/BS in scientific field of study

• 7+ years of relevant working experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry in Phase 1 through Phase 3 studies. 2+ years leading trials is preferred.
• Oncology clinical research experience required, Radiopharmaceutical research a plus
• Experience with reporting software such as Business Objects, j-review, etc.
• Working knowledge of FDA Code of Federal Regulations GCP and ICH Guidelines, CDISC standards and the ability to interpret and apply these guidelines to data management
• Experience with a Regulatory Authority inspection or other audit experience a plus

The MDA Senior Data Engineer develops and implements MDA data warehousing solutions, including the design, maintenance, and implementation of data pipelines, integration, and technical requirements translation.

• Establishes, maintains, and optimizes an accessible MDA data warehousing infrastructure, meeting the needs of end users through the design and maintenance of comprehensive metadata systems, dashboards, interactive tools, technical documentation and expert support.
• Directs all QA activities. Assesses and incorporates data integrity and validity controls throughout the ETL and warehousing process. Builds automated tests, employing best practices in the development and implementation of quality assurance through process standardization, documentation, and audits.
• Provides functional and non-functional QC testing on software and tool development, ensuring both the business requirements and operational functions are met.
• Serves as MDA team technical subject matter expert developing, testing, and deploying R, SQL, and Python scripts.
• Supervises database infrastructure support staff, including leading the recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development in support of data ingestion, warehousing, and QA/QC activities.

About the role

POSITION

Leading Educators works with districts and schools around the country to develop leaders to improve teacher practice and student outcomes in PK-12 education. To ensure our work has the intended impact, we collect and analyze data on implementation, outcomes, and impact throughout the year. This analysis helps inform ongoing improvements, plan larger-scale adjustments to programming, and share what we learn externally with partners across the country.

As our organization seeks to be increasingly responsive in the time of COVID and as we revise our organizational theory of change as part of our 5 year strategic planning process, demands for strong evidence about what works are more important than ever.  Teams also are requesting greater customization to meet client needs and unique program designs.  This will require innovation in how we design systems for collection, requiring an increased client-facing role to access, use, and support district-specific data and ensure systems can be more responsive and customizable. This will also generate new datasets that require leadership to design analyses and reports.

The Associate Director of Data Systems will report to the Managing Director of Data and Evaluation and will work in close collaboration with other Data and Evaluation teammates as well as teammates across the organization, including the Program Strategy, project, and network teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Data Collection and Systems Leadership: 

• Design and manage effective processes for projects to collect enrollment and program evaluation data
• Lead regular audits of enrollment and program evaluation data
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to improve data quality and increase automation 
• Implement effective database solutions and models to store and access data
• Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations
• Oversee the migration of evaluation data from legacy systems to new solutions
• Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features
• Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems 
• Research and evaluate the possibilities and potential of new systems or solutions

Data Analysis and Reporting 

• Lead the development of clear and engaging data visualizations, dashboards, and slide decks
• Customize and develop effective visualizations, dashboards and reports by developing an understanding of unique needs and context of district stakeholders
• Present data visualizations, dashboards, and/or slide decks and support others to use and make meaning of those resources

Training and Support

• Offer support to network staff, responding to data collection and system problems in a timely manner
• Create materials, trainings, and ongoing support for network teams to guide use of data collection and reporting systems
• Educate staff members through inidual and group coaching and training

REQUIREMENTS TO BE HIRED FOR THE ROLE: 

• Leading Educators requires that all employees are fully vaccinated (includes a booster dose at least 5 months after the last dose in the primary series) against COVID-19, unless an accommodation has been approved. LOCATION

When not traveling (occasional, national travel for org-wide meetings, team retreats and/or professional development is required) the Associate Director of Data Systems will work from a home office that can be located anywhere in the US.

COMPENSATION 

 If hired for this position, the compensation range for this position is between $64,800 and $97,200 annually. Compensation is competitive, commensurate with experience and in alignment with internal equity. Candidates, either newly hired or new to the role, can typically expect a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role. In addition, Leading Educators offers a very generous benefits package including 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for inidual employees. Additional premium costs are covered 60% by Leading Educators for partners and dependents on medical, dental, and vision plans. We also offer a 4% matching 401k plan, Flexible Spending Accounts for medical, childcare and commuter expenses, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Benefits are valued at or above $9,000 for employees.

Additionally, Leading Educators offers generous time off with pay in order to support a sustainable high performance work culture. During the first three years of employment, full time staff accrue 22 days a year. Five additional days are accrued after the third and sixth year of employment. Leading Educators also offers 16 additional paid days off for various holidays, including three floating holidays staff may use at their discretion.

• Alert both IT and Manager with all system errors, pricing errors, engineering errors, etc. to avoid product holds on incoming orders
• Assist in parts entry, literature fulfillment and other administrative duties to improve performance to the customer
• Clarify open issues such as pricing and missing order information

The Role:

What you will do

As a part of the Attribution team you will design and implement systems for ingesting, transforming, connecting, storing, and delivering data from a wide range of sources with varying levels of complexity and scale that enable us to associate domains and IPs to companies on a continous basis. The Order Specialist position plays a key role in servicing our customers. The position is responsible for ensuring that all jobs are ordered accurately and in a timely fashion to meet the needs of our customers. The Order Specialist works hand in hand with internal and external contacts assigned to their accounts with the overall goal of servicing our customers at a high level.

Organizational Relationship:

The OS position reports to the Supervisor Order Fulfillment for the Builder Channel.

Overall Accountabilities

• Work with FSR’s to ensure the expectations of our builders are met with regards to timely and complete delivery and installation.
• Facilitate verbal, electronic, or hard copy communications with Customers regarding the phase of construction, cabinet order dates, selection information and purchase orders, etc.
• Provide field measure packets on time that include all the necessary information for FSR’s to accurately verify designs and selections on each job.
• Collect purchase order information and prepare accurate pricing summary for invoicing purposes.
• Timely and accurate ordering of all jobs is the goal.
• Ability to travel as required. Estimated travel currently anticipated for this position is <5%.
• Other duties, incidental or regular, may be assigned at management’s discretion.
• Keep track of construction schedules through communication with the superintendent, electronic scheduling tool provided by Builders, receipt of hard copy documentation, etc. Receive start notifications for all jobs before scheduling the house to be measured with the FSR.
• Validate field measures and make necessary changes with FSR, Sales Representative, Builder and Sub-contractor ensuring alignment and first time complete installation.
• Diagnose and prescribe solutions to resolve Customer concerns.
• Collecting selection and purchase order information from the builder.
• Creating Jobs in our system(s) before field measure.
• After release from the builder, prepare measure packet that includes cabinet layouts, items list, and selection information, etc. Provide measure packets to appropriate FSR. Communicate any urgency associated with specific orders to the FSR through Salesforce.
• Work with Design Associate and Sales Representative to redesign any complex kitchens or take care of any major SKU changes as requested by the FSR.
• Review all selections and options and ensure PO is accurate. Request VPO’s when needed. Working with Builders Purchasing Dept. to resolve P.O. discrepancies.
• Prepare countertop orders and send to countertop supplier. Place email confirmations in Box Job Folder.
• May create install packet that stays in box folder which includes the layout, items list, countertop information.
• Finalize and submit order utilizing internal system(s)
• Work with Account Managers on recurring design changes and P.O. issues that need to be corrected and make sure you use the most up to date information provided by them.
