• Identify methods to present innovative instructional content in our programs, resulting in higher quality teaching and learning experiences.

Work with our Chief Academic, Equity, and Social Justice Officer to identify and research emerging areas of anti-racist and culturally relevant educational products.

• Present these findings with recommendations for implications to product design and curriculum delivery.

Identify trends and growth areas in the PK–12 education space to be utilized in identifying growth areas for Open Up Resources’ current and future products.

• Collaborate to ensure all product development and revision efforts are aligned with and driven by overall product strategy.

Formulate plans to gather feedback specific to our product design and usability from stakeholders and users.

• Maintain a deep understanding of educators’ curriculum challenges and prioritize solutions that drive growth and customer retention.
• Track and analyze use of our programs via open digital applications.

Work closely with Sr. Project and Sr. Product Managers across the full product life cycle, from user research to requirements refinement through prototyping and production.

• Maintain a comprehensive view of all products and programs planned and underway.
• Collaborate with Sr. Product Managers to see feature development through from concept to launch, from post launch analysis to ongoing optimization.
• Understand milestones, prioritization, and coordination of multiple streams of work.

Work with the Academics and Product teams to support content finalization and translation of content to our final product presentations.

• Ensure clear understanding of responsibilities and ownership at critical milestones.
• Ensure instructional intent is upheld in final products.

Identify key performance indicators for our products, set expectations with all relevant stakeholders, and regularly report on these KPIs.

Requirements

Oversight of New Product Design, Development, Maintenance and Periodic Revisions 

·       Ensure Standards and other product offerings are developed in accordance with the Green Seal Standards Development Process including the following steps:  

§  Oversee ongoing scientific and technical research to identify new opportunities for health and environmental impact reduction in the green products and services marketplace   

§  Conduct market analysis using quantitative and qualitative information and collect input from key stakeholders, advisory groups, advocacy organizations, industry associations, and others

The Role Logistics

This is a 100% remote position with flexible hours (some overlap with east coast hours is needed). 

This role involves more than just management of clients and their projects. It involves many aspects of tech consulting, web design/development consulting, and IT troubleshooting/consulting while working with a large variety of clients. This role calls for a self-starter to take projects from inception to completion while instilling complete trust in the client.

What you’ll do:

Below is a list of areas where we need your help, in priority order. Bonus if someone has multiple areas of interest. Mega bonus if someone has multiple areas of interest AND experience AND they love what we do and want to grow long-term with us.

• Planning and managing web design and development projects; all while communicating with clients
• Identifying clients’ needs, the scope of work, and goals while ensuring projects are delivered within quality, time, and budget requirements
• Communicating with clients and internal teams ensuring all members are clear on objectives, timelines, and scope of work
• Highlight potential risks or issues before they arise and proactively solve issues
• Conduct SEO, ADA, and web performance audits; work with developers to implement fixes and enhancements
• Train clients on SEO, web publishing best practices, CMS/WordPress usage
• Strategize and implement web solutions to drive e-commerce sales, website subscriptions, page views, SEO/SERP improvements, account sign-ups, etc.
• Manage implementation of third-party web services for eCommerce, publishing, architecture, and design-related websites/clients
• Manage development sprints for timely delivery and proper QA/testing of all changes
• Troubleshoot Mac/PC workstation issues; Mac/PC server file-sharing issues, Windows Terminal Services accounts
• Help grow the company through marketing and sales efforts
• Find and communicate with prospects to secure new clients

**Skills that will help you thrive:

• 3+ years of web design/development management experience
• 2+ years of WordPress use and familiarity with various customization options
• Out of the box thinking and creative problem solving to tackle unique challenges that occur on a large variety of digital systems
• A strategic mindset that allows you to understand industry trends and customer needs
• Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and be proactive with your communication
• Excel at balancing being thorough and efficient in a 100% remote work environment
• Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and superior time management skills.

**Skills that are nice to have:

• 2+ years conducting SEO audits, identifying and fixing issues
• Comfortable using JIRA, Confluence, Google Analytics, Google Search Console
• Deep knowledge of digital systems and computer science topics
• General understanding of how SQL databases are structured
