The Role

Yuzu Money is looking for a Social Media & Content Strategist to keep our social channels buzzing and mindshare high, creating and posting a wide variety of content that excites the existing community and encourages new audiences to participate in the ecosystem. Your mission: grow and engage our audience on X, channelling attention, turning followers into active users, active users into advocates — with a style that is sharp, humorous and culturally relevant. We don’t want social media to be a checkbox-ticking exercise — we view it as core to our growth. We need you to be targeted, outcome-focused, and able to create content that drives attention.

The Social Media & Content Strategist will support the Founder in the development and implementation of the content strategy, including content pillars, channel approach, KOL campaigns and measurement. The role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities from monitoring social trends and identifying new content opportunities, to managing content creation for Yuzu Money and supporting content creation for founder social accounts.

While Yuzu Money has an in-house designer and it is not necessary for the candidate to possess design skills, experience with design and AI workflows in these areas are a big plus to support efficient creative testing and experimentation.

Excellent command of English is essential. This is a hands-on role involving the preparation and posting of daily content, engaging with the community, and collaborating with partners on co-marketing initiatives and ecosystem project promotions.

The ideal candidate would have strong DeFi knowledge and has similar experience in a previous role with a DeFi project plus a deep understanding of CT culture, communities and key figures.

The Founder is based in Asia and a good timezone overlap will be required. Candidates based in Asia are preferred.

What You Will Do

• Strategic planning: Considering Yuzu Money’s overall brand strategy and narrative, create a cutting edge social strategy, defining the roles of the various social media platforms and KOLs in the media mix, plus content pillars for each key audience group.
• Market knowledge: Keep abreast of emerging DeFi trends, new narratives, and interesting competitor activity to identify content opportunities, themes and potential partners or emerging KOLs.
• Content Creation: Own the creation of all social media content, including daily heartbeat content and communications plans for product launches, new ecosystem partner announcements and technology updates. This includes copy for posts, visuals, infographics, animations, etc. While Yuzu Money does have an in-house designer, creator skills (design, animation, video editing, AI workflows) is a large bonus.
• Explanation Videos and Content: Write compelling threads, posts, and updates that break down complex DeFi concepts into clear, engaging narratives. Create visuals, animations, short-form videos, and use AI tools to enhance content output.
• Channel Management: X will be the main channel but also experiment with new growth channels and formats - Space, podcasts, AMAs, newsletters
• Project Management: Create and maintain an advance calendar of activity on all channels to provide a clear forward facing snapshot of planned content and facilitate easy approvals.
• Community growth and activation: Recommend and implement growth techniques to engage new and existing audiences on social channels
• Collaboration: Work closely with the broader marketing and ecosystem team ensure narrative alignment, and build strong relationships with the engineering team to support content creation input.
• Analysis and Reporting: Measurement of the performance of social and content activity on all platforms, plus the completion of monthly reports including recommendations for optimization.

Requirements

• Experience: Experience at managing socials for a DeFi project or a viral profile, ideally at DeFi project. Yuzu Money is a highly DeFi centric project so experience with handling DeFi related socials will be incredibly key.
• Channel Knowledge: Deep experience of best practices within all key social platforms.
• DeFi Native: Use and demonstrate a strong knowledge of DeFi. Candidates that are power users of DeFi will be favoured.
• CT Culture: Understanding of crypto culture, memes, narratives, and the unwritten rules of CT (Crypto Twitter).
• Product Appreciation: Ability to talk with product teams and understand the detailed inner workings of Yuzu Money’s mechanisms and products to enable quality content creation.

Follow defined processes for prospecting, engagement, and closing deals.• Sales Forecasting: Maintain an accurate sales forecast for your pipeline and report on progress towards monthly and quarterly targets.• Lead Generation: Actively prospect and qualify new leads from marketing campaigns and outbound efforts to build a robust sales pipeline.• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure a positive sales experience. Log all communications accurately in the CRM.• Solutioning & Technical Scoping: Work with clients to understand their technical requirements and business objectives. Prepare solution proposals and recommend suitable API plans with support from senior team members.• Market Research: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitive offerings to effectively position CoinGecko’s API in the market.• Sales Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on all sales activities, pipeline status, and results using the CRM and other sales tools.• Sales Operations & Process Optimization: Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and follow established sales processes and playbooks to ensure operational efficiency.• Collaboration: Collaborate with internal support teams to ensure a smooth handover from sales to onboarding for new clients.• Coaching: Assist in mentoring and training interns/junior team members. Provide feedback on their work and contribute to knowledge-sharing activities within the team.• You are required to support any ad hoc tasks as required by the company.What We Look For In You:• Proven track record: You have 2-3 years of experience in driving Enterprise SaaS sales with a strong track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets, preferably in the startup or fintech industry. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field is a plus.• Product Knowledge: You have a good understanding of CoinGecko’s products and a willingness to quickly develop deep expertise in our API offerings.• Sales Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of the sales lifecycle, sales funnel, and qualification techniques.• Familiarity with Data Tools: You have experience using a CRM (e.g., HubSpot) to manage leads and sales activities.• Familiarity with API Products: You have a foundational understanding of or strong interest in API products and the SaaS business model.• Project Management: You can manage multiple initiatives with a focus on meeting deadlines.
